Description
This great car was built in 1999 by Bob Andrews and Steve McComiskey in Mass. We were both long time members of the Los Coches Car Club (est. in 1959). This car is a clone of a car that we built and raced in 1969-1970. It started off with a Total Performance chassis. All N.H.R.A. and I.H.R.A. safety features were added by Tube Chassis of Rockland, MA. The chassis was then powder coated and brought back to Coach and Carriage Auto Body in Natick, MA where all the body work and custom paint was done. At that time, the engine, rear end and transmission were all assembled within a seven month period. Then we campaigned the car in Nostalgia Drag Racing for 1 1/2 years with N.E.A.T.O. We also raced the car in Bakersfield, CA., Indianapolis, New York, New Jersey and Phoenix. This car will run in the low 10's all day long. It is suitable for a medium to large size driver. It's complete and ready to go. It's a great show car as well as a great race car. Also included with the car is a Curtis enclosed trailer, 700 HD series which we purchased in 2000.
