Frame and chassis designed by Art Morrison Inc, built in 1993 by Custom Metal Fabrication. Engine was built by Performance Products and the body was finished by Haas Body Shop all of Rockford, IL. During building the car was fully disassembled all panels removed, floor completely cut out and removed from back panel to windshield support. Complete stock dash and stearing removed.Remainder was glass beaded and primed with DP90. Car was set-up on rack and Morrison Chassis was ordered consisting of 2x3 tube frame and 16 pointe roll cage (came in a kit designed by Art Morrison Chassis company - kit included along with framing, morrison 4-link system & mustange II front suspension parts) and installed. Ford 9" rear end, BB engine and glide were installed for mock up. New heavy duty driveshaft was made, custom drive shaft safety loops were made (2 of them), morrison engine mount installed, mid engine mount installed and transmission mount installed. Firewall was fabricated out of 1x1x1/8 tubing. Hooker header kit was purchased and custom headers were built to fit the car and stearing. Willwood brake system was installed including Willwood front disc brakes (stock ford 9" rear disc brakes used in back), all new lines and braided hoses and Willwood master cylinder. From there the tires were installed and new rear quarters extended for the large tires. Interior was custom made and fitted to make up lighweight aluminum interior. Fiberglass doors where fitted, fiberglass rear hatch & hood and fiberglass lift off front end, front end is removelable for easy access to engine. Once car was fitted and mocked up everthing was disassmbled for final cleanup and paint then reassembled. From there it went to paint to complete the car.
Mostly garage kept with a few runs a year at the local drag strip for fun.
