Description

1934 Plymouth Coupe, original steel body and doors, full tube frame and pro 4-link suspension. Titled car with V.I.N. Chassis has been NHRA certified to 7.50. The interior has a funny car cage with a passenger seat and a Pentastar bead-rolled into both aluminum door panels. The nice 'Intense Blue' metallic pearlcoat paint glows in the sun. It is a Hot Rod Magazine Excellence Award winner and multiple 1st place show winner. Engine is a stroked 426 HEMI displacing 472 cubic inches, built by AMT Racing Engines in St. Louis. It features a new Mopar siamese-bore iron HEMI block, a new Mopar forged 4.15" stroke crankshaft, Keith Black aluminum cylinder heads and Hilborn fuel injection. It also has Indy roller-rocker arms and shafts, polished Indy Legend valve covers, a Milodon gear drive and a complete Milodon oiling system with aluminum pump and dual-swivel pickup. Most parts are polished, chromed or bright ceramic coated. All hoses are braided stainless steel with blue/red AN fittings. Wilwood racing disc brakes all around and stainless-steel brake lines. Stroud parachute and chrome-moly wheelie bars. Completed with the injected HEMI in 2005, this Hot Rod is race ready and is in like-new condition with only 40 passes on it. It was built with durability in mind (40-spline alloy axles, steel H-beam rods, steel spool, nodular iron center section, chrome-moly driveshaft, etc.). It also is low maintenance because it runs on racing gas. The Hilborn Fuel Injection is very reliable and trouble free (it can easily be converted to methanol if desired). Attracts ALOT of attention at car shows and the drag strip, and has been used as an Exhibition Car at two Monster Mopar events. This is a top-quality show car that will run the number at the nostalgia drags (low 9s). You couldn't build it for double the asking price even if you could find an original body. Nice 28' Vintage Aero tag trailer, new tires, fully finished inside with cabinets, INCLUDED. Will consider trade for new high-end Travel Trailer.

Recent Competition History

Made it into 3rd round at Muslecar Reunion/Nostalgia Drags at Gateway Raceway in 2008. Hot Rod Magazine Excellence Award winner. 1st place show winner in Racecar class twice at Monster Mopar Weekend. Best Engineered Award at Mid-America Raceway. Sponser's Choice Award at Pacific car show, Pacific MO. 1st place in class and Best Engineered Award at Jefferson Barracks car show, Sept. 25, 2011
