I have a good friend of mine that has a S/C altered that has a quick change rearend in it. seems to work just fine and it has been in the car for years now. He has never broken it ever (knock on wood!!) It has an injected 468 in it and will run plenty under the numbers so I would say it will hold up very well for the most part. I would have to say estimated HP of the car in the 680 hp range. so will it work, I would say yes, but for what you could sell it to a collector of parts of that type or a nostogia circle track racer you could build a very nice 9 inc for your dragster though.
