Because someone blew all the information away, I thought I would post some stuff back up.
There has been a race going on in Chicago for the last few years. It's a street thing, the guy's rent the track for a day, get about 25 cars to put up $550 per car, 1st place gets $10,000, second gets $2500.00.
They actually don't prep the track to make it more like a street race. Last year my guy's blew the tired off first round, they were done. This year they got picked to be the first PAIR to go down the track. And remember this is an unprepped track, they only get to do a water burnout and use VHT in a burnout. No track prep after the starting line. (Other than what was there, and it rained for 2 days before the event)
They loosened the front suspension, and took a lot of HP out of the NOS setup, and put the car on the bumper for about 200 ft, and still made a good pass, won the 1st race, moved on to 2nd round. They went on to win 3 more races made it to the finals, and to make a long story short, my nephew and his partner won 1st place! (The last race they only won by 2-3 feet it was very close, they raced a twin turbo Mustang in the finals) I think it's a super way to end the season, put $10,000 in your pocket! Now they have money to rebuild for next season.
